An underlying bug in Chrome may have led to a "corrupted browser profile":
Please try restarting your computer. This should solve the issue in most cases.
Please verify that your Chrome account had a corrupted profile by adding a Chrome user called "test" and confirming that RemNote loads again. (Note: It will not delete your current user, you will just have an extra one after this which you can delete)

Solution For the Desktop App

In rare cases, we've had users have their IndexedDB Database Profile get corrupted on the Desktop App. In this rare case, you can delete the folder containing your IndexedDB Database Profile to reset your Desktop App to its initial state.

NB: This will delete any data stored in the desktop app! Make sure that you have backups stored before deleting this folder.

Process for resetting your Desktop App on Windows to its initial state:

Close the RemNote Desktop App
Delete the C:/Users/YourUserName/AppData/Roaming/RemNote folder. You can quickly access this folder by doing the following:
1. Open File Explorer/Windows Explorer
2. Type %AppData%/Roaming into the address bar and hit enter
3. Delete only the %AppData%/Roaming/RemNote folder
Re-open the RemNote App.
Log back in or restore your backup

Solution: It's possible that your device is running out of disk space, which will prevent RemNote from saving additional data on your computer. Please check your amount of remaining space and create additional space if you're running low.

I'm getting a QuotaExceededError.

Problem: If you're receiving an error that says QuotaExceededError, your device may be running out of disk space.

Solution: Your device may be running out of disk space. Please check the amount of available space remaining on your computer and try freeing up some space.

Can I use RemNote in Firefox 'Private Browsing' mode?

RemNote is not supported in Firefox Private Browsing mode at this time. This is due to restrictions in the browser. Please consider not using Private Browsing mode, or using an alternate browser (ex. Google Chrome).
